Wheatheart Nutrition serving lunch at the Ponca City Senior Center

The Wheatheart Nutrition Program provides meals at the Ponca City Senior Center, 319 W. Grand, at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, except on holidays. The meals meet the National nutritional guidelines. Fontella McAdams is the Site Director for the Ponca City Wheatheart Nutrition Program. The suggested donation is $2.00 per meal for seniors 60 and older.  Reservations are requested the day before for the next day’s meal, and can be made by calling 767-1620. The weekly Wheatheart menu is posted at the Senior Center and also in the Lifestyles Section of the Sunday edition of the Ponca City News. In addition to the meals served on site, the Program also provides 85 to 100 home-delivered meals per day for those unable to come to the Senior Center. The Wheatheart Nutrition Program is funded by NODA, Area Agency on Aging through a Oklahoma Department of Human Services grant.
