The Senior Center of Ponca City houses two programs for seniors.  In July of 2000, with the City of Ponca City to develop a Senior Center for the seniors of Ponca City. The Ponca City Senior Center is operated and maintained by the City of Ponca City. The Wheatheart Nutrition Program is also housed in the Senior Center building. Recently the RSVP program moved from the  Senior Center to there own office on West Hartford.  The RSVP program is now under the direction of Rocky Hudson. Marie Trenary, who was the Director of RSVP for 10 years, is now the director of the Senior Center and Courtney Lowe has been hired as a second part time staff working at the Senior Center.  The facility provides activities and classes during the week. • New signs on the entry Doors

• Tint on the West doors to help cut down the glare

• Bathrooms are being updated

• New tables and chairs

• More to come, thanks to the City of Ponca City for the improvements.  We appreciate the continued support for the area seniors.

• Educational Activities -- Computer Classes (Four computers are also available for use any time except when there are classes in session), Occasional Group Programs

• Health Programs -- Blood Pressure, Triad Eye Clinic

• Covered Dish Dinners, Educational Programs 

• Services: Tax Help, Senior Secretaries (Senior Secretaries provide assistance with clerical tasks, balancing checkbooks, etc., or can help if you are interested in enrolling in a reduced prescription program or currently have no prescription coverage)
