TAX PREPARATION HELP FOR SENIORS

Tax help is available for seniors through a program sponsored by AARP. Volunteers are are located at the Ponca City Library. They will help seniors prepare and file their 2006 tax returns. Joe Skinner coordinates the program.

LEGAL AID

Legal aid is available through Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc.  As a Senior Citizen, you may have legal problems.  Problems caused by a fixed income, high medical expenses or a death of your spouse. Because of this, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc. Senior Law Project has been established. The project provides 1) Direct legal services on the civil legal problems through judicial and/or administrative representation 2) Legal counseling and advise, and 3) Community education. A legal service offered to all seniors citizens aged 60 and over. The Project may be able to help you with Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, Subsidized Programs, Unfair Sales & Collections, Other Civil Legal Problems, Social Security, Unemployment, Housing, Food Stamps, Nursing Homes, and Welfare.
